I was born in the month of April 2002. Only 42 members witnessed my birth and named me “Yelahanka Bangieo Samithi” by the energetic and enthusiastic members.

Main mission of my birth- to provide a mutually supportive and positive Socio- cultural environment in and around Yelanhanka.

The first Sri Sri Durga puja of YBS was celebrated at the premises of wheel and Axle plant, yelahanka (presently – rail wheel Factory).During 2004-2005. I have registered my name with the “Register of societies “ Bangalore, Bangalore district, Karnataka.

In the 4th year of existence I changed my name to “VIVEKANANDA CULTURAL ASSOCIATION” vide notification no. 1308/03-04 AMR No. 20/05-06,dated 07/05/2005,issued by the “Register of Societies” Bangalore District, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Its has been awesome 9 years as of now and I would request all my care-takers to see me grow into a everlasting union of love and faith which I crave from all of you. At present I am getting love and affection of nearly 125 members, financially also helped by the donors, sponsors, advertisers, well- wishers, members and others.

Finally I am thankful to everyone to nourish me grow further and further to serve the Society-socially and culturally.
